Acoustic meeting pods for offices offer a great solution in providing flexible meeting and privacy pods. However conventional meeting pods have some disadvantages in terms of incompatibility with sprinkler systems and a tendency to be warmer than the surrounding office.
The latest generation of Acoustic Meeting Pods for offices now have a patented ceiling louvre system which offers a balance between sound privacy and ventilation, and can be easily linked into a fire detection and evacuation system making them compatible with any building fire system including sprinkler installations.
The louvre system features several failsafes.
- Integrated smoke and heat detection cuts power and opens the roof.
- PIR sensor opens the roof when the pod is unoccupied.
- Interlink to the building safety system. A fire alarm triggers the roof to open.
Meeting Pods are well designed with acoustic insulation and a range of internal fittings, power and data outlets, as well as a range of sizes and finishes. The initial investment is on a par with conventional partitioned offices, but pods have the advantage of being easy to relocate in a few hours meaning the investment becomes substantially lower once the pod is moved even once compared to partitioning.
Meeting pods for offices can be equipped with socket outlets for power and data, whiteboards, and hinged or sliding doors. Shapes and sizes are easily specified to accommodate most table and meeting formats.
