Office Fit Out in Kingston
Office fit-out for a software company based in Kingston. Intelliflo expanded into a nearby office building with a few challenges but with plenty of space for a growing business. Some ageing heating and cooling systems meant the new office needed additional air conditioning to be installed.
Open Plan Office Design
Intelliflo are a growing software business and needed room for more staff, more spaces for meetings and software development, + in-house training facilities. The office design brief was to create a welcoming open office interior with high quality finishes and office furniture needed for a 14 hour operating environment, whilst retaining elements of the previous office fit-out to constrain the overall budget.
The glazed office partitioning minimizes the barriers to light and supports the target of an open office environment, but distraction is limited by using a manifestation to obscure the eye-contact levels.
To keep costs under control, the existing CAT 5 network was retained and updated, and existing air conditioning integrated into the revised office design layout.
The relocation was a protracted exercise, with considerable delays from Landlord and legals, but after all the stop-start preamble the project ran to time, including the supervision of removals to complete a full start to finish project.
The Office Fit Out Project in Numbers
The overall project spend was £275,000 equating to £5,500 per person or a fit out cost of £55 per square foot including furniture (£590 per square metre). Initially Intelliflo occupied the office at 100 square foot per head.
